The song I am doing my writing on is Carry Out, by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. The reason I picked this song is because it seduces the opposing female, while using phrases which refer to restaurant and food terms.
In the chorus the song says, “ take my order, cuz your body like a carry out” which basically means that her body is so fine he wants to take her home, In gangsta language. This song interests me because it’s such an odd use of words with two completely contradicting ways of the same meaning. This song always makes me think of McDonald’s drive thru and there being a very pretty girl taking my order. This is a great example of the song. It’s more of a hip-hop song with rapping but sounds just right with a quite unique and terrific beat and meaning.
It all comes back to trying to get the girl but then out of nowhere it changes completely to another day at McDonalds. “What’s your name? Girl what’s your number? I’m glad I came. Can you take my order?” Is a great example of this dramatic change in the song. Carry Out makes me also a tad hungry for food; but also women (if you know what I mean).
This is why I picked the song Carry Out by J.T. and Timberlake and the meaning it has to offer.
I like the humor.
