Arthur Miller produced his interpretation of the Witch Trials in his book " The Crucible". Among the peasants that lived in Salem the main accusers of these witches were led by a young woman named Abigail.
Abigail was a extremely demanding child, it was her way or the highway. She violently says, "I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you" (pg.18), to all of the other kids. By doing this, she threatens them with their lives just so they won't spill any beans. She run the show and everyone will obey what she says out of fear from her.
For the worse, our dear Abigail is also very mischievous. Talking to Proctor, she exclaims "you loved me then you do now" (pg. 21). She had an affair with a man who was married and put his relationship with his wife in jeopardy. Abigail is always finding ways to get into trouble or at least live amongst it.
She is a MADWOMAN who feeds lies to to people who judge life and death. "Tituba,Tituba..."(pg.40) was all that Abigail said as they asked who called the devil. Out of self greed she saved her own skin by offering someone who was completely innocent. She was evil and used lying as a tactic to her advantage to keep her alive.
Abigail was an evil young woman who had no respect for anyone and put other people in her place to suffer. She beat the system.
